Stock Tune
The car is a daily driver, I don't track it at all. Only get into the throttle when the little woman isn't in the passenger seat. On the highway, I get right at 29 MPG and usually don't have any issue passing the guy in front of me. What could I expect on a tune or what would be the best setup to have done as she sits?
I did search for previous threads with no luck. As you can probably tell by the post, I am not much of a motor head, but am usually in aw trying to read some of the posts from this section. Thanks in advance.

As far as the intake.....the LS3 has a good one. You could look into getting a little cool air to it, tho.
There's arguments both ways about loosing your warranty, so that will be something to consider.

Good points. Just to add, a quality aftermarket air intake will provide more air flow for an increase of power from 4k and above. The importance of cold air is key in keeping the intake air temps down to prevent the ECM from pulling timing (reducing hp). A tune should be performed any time fuel metering is changed (air intake, throttle body, headers, etc.) to maximize the benefit and hp gains of the mod.The LS3 air intake is an excellent air intake, but it is still somewhat restrictive by GM's design becuase the air filter has to work in all environments. Aftermarket air filters will flow more air, but the jury is still out on how well they will filter in dusty, sandy environments for the life of the engine, not just in a short term Baja race. For most street/highway environments, they work just fine. Just my .02cts.
