Default clutch pedal noise

When I push in the clutch, I get a squeek noise, any ideas where to start.

Thanks

Look up under the dash at the clutch spring, usually there is a small amount of grease on it, you may need to lubricate it.

Mine just developed this a few weeks ago. I don't have the helper spring anymore. I'll be greasing or oiling it up to see if I can get rid of the squeek soon.

Happened to me. Drove me nuts. Used a mirror and a light to see under the dash (very difficult for me), found clutch linkage parts rubbing on plastic dash parts, used a long metal tube to get oil in there. PITA, but it worked.

Mine was squeaking for a while, too. If I remember right, it was coming from the clutch sensor area to the left of the clutch pedal. It was a while back, but if memory serves, the clutch sensor has an arm and there is a pin that slides through it as the pedal moves and the arm rotates. I greased this and my noise was gone.

By the way, you do need to remove the plastic panel above the pedals to get a good look at the problem area.

finally got a chance to look at it today, and there was half the spring attached to the assembly, and the other half on the carpet.

Anyone have the part number for the spring?

Thanks
Jimmy

I removed the spring on mine, still squeaks. I'll grease up the assembly. I think I still have the spring in my garage. Maybe I should sell it for a buck.
