Alternator question
My alternator went out on my 2007 A6. Went to buy a replacement at O'Rileys and they show two different alts with the exact same specs but different part numbers. Looking at the OEM alternators it seems GM has a different alternator(part number) for an automatic or manual transmission. Anyone know why? The two alternators at O'rileys are both 145 amp, look identical, but have different part numbers.
