just snapped both axles in one launch
Took my 2006 z to the track with drag radials on it. Didnt even move one inch. Snapped both axles one at the hub and one up by the rear. Was thinking about getting some autozone c5 axles thoughts. My car make alittle over 800rwhp. Has rps triple carbon clutch, pfadt carbon drive shaft, stock trans and rear.

No but first with drag radials. Had a feeling that the stock 06 axles wont hold up.

We use C5 axles. Beware of cheaper Chinese knock-offs.

Aren't the '08+ C6 axles much stronger?

C5 axles are less expensive and we have cut numerous 1.3 60's. Better to break an axle than break a shaft in the rear.

I've questioned reman axles myself, how do we know the bars and shafts are as hardened as a GM axle? I can get a reman for cheap (Cardone) but I am afraid it won't be as strong.

05 to mid 08 are supposedly the weakest for the the Gens.. I dont think there is any evidence yet that states 08.5 and up are stronger/weaker than X..

I never had good luck with Autozone reman products (mostly starters, some alternators, no axle shafts)...always exercised the lifetime warranty.
I always had better luck with NAPA or Advanced Auto reman parts.

NAPA parts > all IMO. If possible, I always get NAPA brand parts. I do like Autozone for windshield wiper blades and stuff though.

I agree...it makes a big difference who they use as a rebuilder.
