Re: Lowering.. depends upon how much you drop it and suspension setup. Don't have a shot straight down the fender well, but with 325's the bulge is about 1/4 inch outside the fender. If you want safe clearance, load 305's on and don't worry about it. Only gives up a small amount of tread/section width.
The silver car there is mine with the R1's on them. They fit perfectly and with Pilot SS 305's the actual tread is inside the fender while the sidewall of the tire sticks out a few millimeters. The look good and it doesnt bother me or the car at all. I ran the 305's on the stock wheels first, and although it looked great, I found the rear swayed a bit in certain conditions. I think from the tire being to wide for the rim.
I unknowingly blew away the photo's in that post I referenced above (sorry about that) so I added a couple below and also put more in my profile. I have the 325 Invo's and they fit about the same as yours. No tread sticking out of the fender and just a little of the sidewall. Absolutely no rubbing issues at all. The Nitto's tend to run a little narrower than most other brands which probably explains the similarity in fit. The car handles much better than with the stock sizes and the traction is a definite inprovement. I also like that the wheel wells look properly filled now, something I thought was lacking with the stock wheels and tires.
i thought about this long and hard also..then decided to stick with stock wheels because the car is still kinda unique...so i just went with stock size tires kumho ecsta's, and they are a bit wider than the stock GY F1's
good luck with choices

I am also running stock Z06 tire sizes (275 and 325) on my 06 Z51 coupe with no problems. They are mounted on Ace R1 wheels, 18x9.5 fronts with a 53mm offset and 19x11rears with a 73mm offset. The car is lowered (although not all the way down) and the tires do not rub at all.
My fronts are 18x9.5 however, a 56mm offset... what are thoughts on running 275/35/18 on these wheels on a Z51 with stock fenders?
I like this size. I have 245-45-18 and 305-35-19 on my 2008 base model-but I wanted to go with a bit wider tire because I will be driving at high speeds here on the autobahn.

I'm jealous of the autobahn travel! Better drivers and better road conditions than the northeast portion of the United States....
