transmission rebuild?
Here's a link to Tick's site just for info but check with RPM too at least.

The transmission needed to be re-built as it was grinding going into 2nd at higher RPM's. The first time, it was re-built by a local transmisison shop that was "supposed" to be good and that shop used a re-build kit that was "supposed" to be bulletproof. Well.................
Several months later, the transmission was grinding going into 2nd gear again, but now at lower RPM and light acceleration. By the eighth month the transmission absolutely needed another re-build. I didn't do that.
Instead I got a Stage IV transmission from RPMtransmission (with brass shift fork pads) and after about 6-700 miles so far, I'm really really happy (except for paying for two transmissions) with this transmission. It shifts really really well and feels solid.
My suggestion is to not screw around with a local re-build, but to go for a built transmission from of the professional shops noted above. I've been really happy withte service from RPMtransmission.
BTW, I'm using a RAM dual-disc street clutch and a Tick adjustable clutch master cylinder (that was installed yesterday.....and it is going to take a little while to get used to the change from the OEM master).
Good luck
