T.p.m.s. Codes malfunctioning
I looked in your profile to get some info about your car, but there's nothing in your profile.
Do you have your original wheels on the car?
I'm assuming you've had a new set of tires installed if you've got 28,000 miles on it - did they use the original sensors in the new tires?
Do you have your OE wheels, or has a different set been installed that might have a different set of sensors?
The memory of the TPMS computer in the car can only hold 4 sensor ID#'s, so if you've changed to a different set of wheels or otherwise had different sensors installed, it sounds like the sensors aren't properly programmed into the TPMS.
The lack of GPS reception by your 9500ix is a coincidence. I have a 9500ix as well and have never had any GPS problems. Where do you have it mounted? You do need to have it forward enough so it's out from under any metal like the windshield frame or the rearview mirror that might restrict the signals being picked up by the antenna. I have mine on a Great Lakes Trophy visor mount, and other forum members use the Blendmount unit to attach it under the rearview mirror. You shouldn't have any problem receiving GPS signals with either of those mounting solutions.
The greatest features of the 9500ix require GPS position info (red light cameras, speed cameras, known speed traps, etc.), with one of the best features being how it locks out known false alerts from door openers, etc. So, you definitely want to get the GPS working!!!
Also, make sure you update it regularly - the Escort database is updated weekly (new one comes out every Monday), and here in Florida there are numerous new redlight camera locations almost every week!!
