While driving home on Rte 78 there are hills. Car is slowed to 10 mph and put in Neutral, slight incline in roadway, my fet on the floor and my car maintains 10 mph. What the heck. Is it clutch tranny or something else.
Thanks All
David

You might want to be more specific on your discription. Did the car slowed to 10 mph while in 5th/6th or neutral? If in gear, it's the clutch.

Hi Rick,
I was slowing down b/c of traffic, droped it into neutral at 20 mph. Car slowed as i tapped brakes to 10 mph. All while in N. But car stayed at 10 mph. Oh Up hill

If you were in neutral the clutch doesn't have anything to do with it. Neutral means there is no connection between the engine/clutch and differential.
If you found a way to hold speed uphill with the trans in neutral find a Patent Atty. quick.
If car crept, it wasn't in neutral man, bad clutch or not. And LSs are torquey enough not to stall at idle in gear, therefore maintaining a low speed. Be more specific, as somebody said.
I dont get it. I drive a 6sp manual. I put it in N. I moved the shifter left and right. into 1st and out of 1st gear. the CAR MAINTAINED 5-10 MPH
Maybe the incline looks like it is uphill but really slightly downhill instead. Visual cues can make you think a hill is sloping one way when it is actually sloping the other. Ran into this a long time ago on a road in the mountains. Road looked like it sloped steeply downwards but when we brought the car to a stop and put it into neutral and released the brake it rolled backwards.

I'm paranoid already, but this/$&}#^%€ crap must stop. It is INCLINE. All respect . Different parts of highway even flat. I mention incline b/c so bazaar.
For this to happen would take 2 very unusual failures at the same time. Your clutch isn't totally disengaging and your shift linkage isn't working correctly.
Either that or you just found a perpetual motion machine and need to find an Attorney to file a Patent and to protect yourself from Patent thieves.

That is the best answer. I appreciate that. Dealer did mention over the phone, could be bent linkage. The car was RR 6 times thi year alone. Finally, after 40 mile drive home is stopped doing it.
