Default 2006 c6 ls3 - 975 hp

Local dealer to me just listed this 2006 C6.
------------------------------------------------------------

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART.2006 Z51, VELOCITY YELLOW TINT COAT, PROCHARGED 975 HP. LS3 417 MOTOR BUILT BY VETTE DOCTORS

TRICKFLOW HEADS WITH FERREA VALVES & .650+ LIFT SPRINGS
WISECO FORGED PISTONS COATED DOME & SKIRT W/STAINLESS TOP RING. CALLIES FORGED RODS & CRANK. COATED BEARINGS.
CUSTOM MODIFIED D1SC PROCHARGER SET TO 15LBS. BOOST @ 6,000 RPM.
CUSTOM SNOW METHANOL INJECTION SYSTEM. AND MUCH MUCH MORE.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Sounds like they pulled the original LS2 and put a heavily re-wroked and supercharged LS3 in there. It seems that 975hp out of such a setup is not even close to possible.

I feel like emailing the dealer (who I have done business with before) and asking for the dyno sheet.

Comments?

car has aftermarket fuel system on it... but I'm sure the stock fuel rail is limited to 800hp? Looks like there's a meth on it as well.. run flats good luck getting past 4k rpm in any gear with that car.. O and I'm sure you mean 418 not 417ci

Description is cut and paste from the dealer listing. I doubt it's an LS3 in there as well.

A stroker LS3 could be 416, 417 or even 418 I believe, hard to actually pin it down exactly.
Either way the thread title is a little misleading because it's not really a true LS3 anymore anyway (stock LS3s have don't have forged internals and are 376ci or so of course ).

We're not supposed to list the URL (among other things) of Non-supporting vendors.

Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a non-supporting vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, offer to send contact information via PMs, etc.) or so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references.

My apologies, but not quite sure how this is a vendor posting. I interpreted this as a link to an interesting C6/ non typical vehicle. 975HP

If I am reading the rules correctly I can post the link to this vehicle as it sits on EBAY from this very same dealer?

from the rules:
"...We have always allowed eBay links when they were used to point people toward an interesting or amusing sale. So, for now, the rule prohibiting links to eBay and other auction sites will be rescinded and we’ll monitor the situation to see how it evolves..."

I still think you can get 975 at the flywheel with the combo listed.

Does anyone else have an opinion?

It's the posting of a non-vendor's URL. I posted the rule above. Please reread it. If that vendor sells something that forum vendors do, we're not supposed to post any of the information stated in the rule above.

The eBay rule you're quoting has nothing to do with the current situation. The rule you're quoting allows you to list your own car on eBay, even if it's up for bid. It does not allow you to post a URL to a commercial business.

Does anyone else on here run a similar setup? With 15lbs of boost is the meth inject that effective in cooling down the mixture and preventing pre-ignition. I do not think there is an inter-cooler on the vehicle.

I SERIOUSLY doubt there is no intercooler...I'm sure there's an intercooler and a dual-nozzle meth setup if it's making close to 1000 hp.

Having seen the ad, the car in question has an aftermarket fuel system, and I'd bet a decent cam, too, so between the cubes, D1sc blower @ 15lbs, meth, etc., there's no reason to doubt that it isn't putting down over 800rwhp, IMHO.
