Default 2013 Coupe Clutch/Differential problems?

So I picked up my 2013 coupe about 2 months ago. We have about 1600 miles on it. Since day one, the clutch chatterered when starting out. So I finally found the time to take it in. They now think the differential may be the source of the problem and are in the process of tearing my brand new car apart... To say I'm pissed and disappointed is an understatement!

Anybody else have any issues with the C6 clutch? What was the problem? And solution? If I had much hair left, I'd be pulling it out right about now...

I feel your pain man. I also waited this long, practically driving an old-new car ('12 GS here) to avoid any major issues. And you get this? Geez. At least the tranny/diff is a lot less serious than the engine, plus there's nothing you can do about it now, so I'd just make sure the car does not have a single scratch when done, and it's fixed to like-new condition. The clutch is tricky, so pray they've done that before. Oh, and you might as well have them install a remote clutch bleeded, to at least get something positive out of that fiasco. Good luck, and please keep us posted.

Sounds like the common clutch chatter complaint which is fixed by the correct diff oil.

Also could be the loose axle nut issue which will chatter on take off too.

Just some thoughts.

Just got an update: It looks like it's the diff fluid thing. It may not have been filled properly at the factory. I just wonder what has fried or worn down in the last 1600 miles because of this!! I guess I'll find out the day AFTER the warranty runs out... Thanks guys!

The diff needs the slip additive. Early C6's corvettes came from the factory without this additive. Maybe this is all it was. If under filled then possible other problems might exists down the road but I doubt it. Ask if it was just the wrong fluid or if it was low. Lots have gone through this.

I doubt if you fried anything. Without the right fluid the positrac clutches chatter. The newest fluid now recommended (GM DEXTRON LS GEAR OIL 75W-90) contains the limited slip friction modifier to prevent this problem

I just posted a new thread about this... The fluid didn't solve or change the problem at all. They're saying it's normal.

At least from what you guys are saying, it is not "normal", correct? A C6 clutch should not chatter on take off... I hope I'm at least right on that much... Help me, guys!! Thanks!
