My neighbor has a 2006 (C6) and the trans went bad (he does race it) I found an 05 (C6) with an (A4) trans & can get the (A4) for a VERY GOOD PRICE)...the trans has only 4000 miles on it
.... how much work, and $$ would be involved to put the A4 transmission in a car that came with an A6 ?
Both of us think the A4 is a better transmission for "Drag Racing" but if he has to mortgage his house he will just go with another A6..

I think the computer on an A6 is all one unit controlling the trans and engine. The A4 has a ECM and a TCM. Pretty much you need to convert the A6 to act as a manual and add a TCM.
