Maybe I'm having a senior moment (actually year), but I think the entire fuse block in the passenger footwell is hot all the time.
According to the service manual, the underhood fuse block is separated into 4 segments and each has pin locations and circuit numbers that I can't seem to find how they relate to the fuses.
The reason I want to find this circuit, is for a permanent connection to a wideband reader. It draws 2 amps, but I want it to switch off with the ignition switch, because it has no switch itself.
Am I able to tap into a fuse location with an add-a-fuse, or are all the fuses only to protect a switched device farther downline?
The Wiper fuse in the passenger footwell is hot only when running ACC or On mode. All other fuses in that fuse panel are 12VDC all the time regardless of ignition switch. I have verified this in my 08.
I used a fuse tap in the heated seat for my wideband. It has worked flawlessly for the past year or so.
Do you know if the O2 sensor is still powered on when the ignition switch is off? Since it draws less than 2 amps, it wouldn't drain the battery very fast, but still shorten the sensor life.

From the schematic in the shop manual, I pretty much agree. However, there is a diagram in one place that shows otherwise. I don't trust the manual that well. You wouldn't expect to see C5 seats or column lock switches in an '08 manual, but it's there.

Heated seat fuse is definitely switched. Had to run out and check. Its where I tapped into for my gauges.

I didn't put a multimeter to it or anything, but given that the display box of my NGK AFX turns off when the car turns off, and turns on when the car turns on, leads me to believe that the 02 sensor is powered off.
Also, since it's a heated sensor, if it was still powered on, I imagine I would have a hell of a time removing the exhaust system without being burned.
I'm 99.9% sure it powers off when the ignition is switched off.
