Tpms

The sensors are very accurate, however the TPMS only reports to the nearest 1.0 psi, or at least that's all the closer the DIC is able to display.
I have a high end TPMS tool and it displays to the nearest 0.2 psi, and it gets the signal transmitted by the sensor to the TPMS, and is virtually identical to my accurate hand held pressure gauge:
HOWEVER.....I live at sea level!!!
The DIC display (and the pressure the TPMS sends to OnStar) will be approximately 1 psi less than your hand held gauge for every 1,000 feet of elevation above sea level.
I bet you live up in Prescott where the elevation is about like Denver - a little over 5,000 feet. That would easily account for 3 or 4 psi less on the DIC than your hand held gauge.
Even Tucson is about 2,600 feet and owners there should see about 2 psi less on the DIC than their hand held gauge.
