Before trading in my 2008 coupe, I removed the CAGS skip shift eliminator. I then installed it on my new 2013 ZR1. The check engine light came on. So, I took it back off. It worked great on the 2008. Does anyone have a soulution to this problem. I would really like to not have the computer controlling my shifting on my awesome ZR1.
WE HAVE INSTALLED OUR CAGS SKIP SHIFT ON SEVERAL 2013'S NOW WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. THE RESISTANCE IN OUR UNIT IS MATCHED PERFECTLY TO WHAT THE COMPUTER IS LOOKING FOR. WE BUILD OUR UNITS IN HOUSE. WHEN THE 2013 CAME OUT WE TESTED OUR UNIT TO MAKE SURE IT WORK OR IF WE HAD TO BUILD A NEW UNIT. OUR CAGS WORKS FROM 97 TO 2013 GARUNTEEDED.
I have a 2005 and am about to install a bypass harness. Instructions are not very clear. First I want to verify that the harness is on the drivers side of the transmission? and is there more than one harness? Any other things I need to be aware of?

I installed the bypass on my 05 Z51 M6. When you get under the car it is easier to understand. Easy to locate the plug you need to plug into.
Good Luck !!
C6 #10 fuse is singly for the CAGS lock out solenoid in the trans, so instead of having to climb under the car to install the in line resistor at the trans solenoid, you can just change the #10 fuse in the fuse block to a resistor fuse instead (blown smart fuse will work).
It was on the C5 that there was more devices that where being run through the #10 that you have to isolate the resistor down at the Cags solenoid plug on the trans, so just changing out the fuse in the fuse block to a resistor fuse was not a option for these cars.
Bluntly, if you are buying a Cags bypass that requires you to install it at the trans solenoid plug, then you are using the C-5 device on a C-6 car; and wasting a lot of time climbing under the car to do so.
