Bumper clip on C6
Hi,
Anyone out there have any experience in replacing this clip? It's the clip on top of the front bumper, far side, that holds the top of the quarter panel in place. Took the car to Chevy and the guy told me its a common problem. From repetitive scraping of the bottom front of the car, he says, these clips often break. He said they could do it but it would require them taking the entire front bumper off, over four hours of labor (ouch). He said, "off the record, I'd just buy the clip and replace it myself."
Problem is, I can only lift the top of the quarter panel just so much, so it's a very tight squeeze to get the clip in. He claims people do it themselves all the time.
Any of you guys ever do it? I bought a few of the clips, so I have the required part. I don't want to start this process if I don't have a tried and true method.

Disregard friends, I just went out and did it in five minutes! Just took a pair of needle nose pliers to get the broken one out and the new one snapped in place without too much effort. Everything looks great again! I paid four bucks for the clip, much better then 300 if I let Chevy do it! Anyway, my first DIY fix on my Vette!
