I personally need to see some positive feed back on how well the Mantic takes track abuse from members who race and push there car hard.. I've already talked to Juic3d about his clutch and his impressions .

Yes everyone does, but part of the reason why you are breaking less parts now is because Tommy made changes to your clutch to help soften the launch. Funny thing is I doubt you even know what he did to it.
Also the car I was driving has over 1000rwhp with a C5 diff. We didnt expect it to last frankly, we were testing a new trans which worked flawlessly. Keep in mind, you focus on one car, I focus on hundreds of builds, sometimes we use one car for testing parts of another when necessary.
So again I'll say most people are not willing to break the countless amounts of drive train parts you have just so you can have a 60' time to brag about, but I will say congratulations since it apparently makes you feel special.
Devilish, Good choice on rebuilding the RXT, thats a very reasonable cost.
Gary has made a few good points and should be heard. Street driven... High hp... Want good ET's. Parts do break. Name of the game.
Yep!! I talked to Gary a couple Saturdays back..
Also looking fwd to hearing how Justin does with the Mantic.. Not so much 60' times but how well it holds up.. Hopefully I'll have a spare clutch/flywheel sitting in the garage before the rebuilt RXT gives up..

Few thousand miles and some mexico trips with 0 issues so far. Still loving it. This clutch is like a fine wine--it gets better with age. It had a little chatter for the first few weeks but it's all but gone now and really drives like stock. You'd never know it is rated at 1000ft lbs.

So the trans rebuild is done? I havent been following your thread
Of course. The car lives on the dragpack. I was painting the garage this past weekend and had to move my street tires out of the way-- they had cobwebs all over them
I see the RXT is rated for 1000hp but what is a more realistic hp and tq rating at the wheels?
Not 100% sure but easyvette has an RXT and his car makes north of 800.. His is starting to slip after a hard 9000+ miles.. He drives his vette harder than most and tracks his car almost every week..
I just got it and it will go in as soon as the motor comes back from the machine shop. The biggest bummer for me was it's SFI rated to 7000 and there are about 9 million warnings in the documentation to not go past it so now I'm rethinking my top end some to lower my rpms as I was planning on 7500rpm.
Clutch is in. I'd say 20% lighter pedal. No chatter at all. Really hard to believe that this clutch is rated for 1000 hp. Drives better than stock! We'll see after I break it in.
