For the past few weeks I've had a CEL on. I got auto zone to use a scanner and they said it was the throttle body position sensor. From what I've read, it looks like I have to replace my TB (I think)? My car will go from normal power to nothing, then bounce back with even more power. It'll bog down sometimes on taking off, then will launch kind of hard for a quick second. It doesn't say reduced engine power or anything.
If mine is going bad, could I replace it with a NW102 and a fast? The way I see it, if I have to buy a new TB. I might as well get the best. The car is a 2008 ls3 auto. Mods are headers, vararam, and stingers. Down the road I was wanting to get heads, cam, stall.
It depends on which code you are getting but many of the diagnostic steps for these codes start with checking for a bad electrical connection THEN replacing the TB and then the ECM.
