Well my throw out bearing went out, so I thought why not tear the whole car apart? Enjoy.

Adding:
CNC Ported Heads
Cam
New balancer
New throw-out bearing
Other things here and there

I'm going to be jumping in mid-tear down. I'll try to document everything fairly closely. Heads and cam should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. My harmonic balancer was rubbing my steering rack (anyone else have this happen?), so I've ordered an ATI balancer. My AC compressor also tossed its belt. Maybe what was causing the balancer to be off. Pictures will be up tomorrow morning!

Nice! Thoght you were in a cold-weather state at first, but seeing as you're in AZ, I know that you'll miss having her out on the road for a bit..but it'll be well worth it. Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Sorry for the iPhone pics. Will post better camera photos tomorrow and be on throughout the evening as I go through. Hope you guys Enjoy for now.

First day

Been in this spot for 5 weeks.

11:00pm Monday

New balancer, old one was rubbing on the steering rack..Not sure why yet.

New plug wires. OE ones aren't that great.

Cleaned up the pistons a little.

It's a little dusty down here in the desert. Nothing a healthy dose of Simple Green can't fix.

New interior pieces coming.

Shifter out.

Purchased a used APS kit. Going to rebuild/replace/refurbish what I need to and then hopefully have it on by January or February. Had I known I was getting this so soon I would've put it in the FI section. My bad!

10pm Tuesday Both subframes out. Going to be rerouting some lines and wires and hoses to make that a lot less painful in the future.

That's all I got for now. Hope you guys enjoy. More tomorrow.

Yeah! I'm really excited to get it done.

I'm going to stick some invos on there for now. I plan on doing ZR-1 body panels at some point so once I do I'll throw a thicker wheel and tire. Will probably go to Z06 brakes at that point too.
