No Fob message
Hi All, I know this can't be diagnosed easily. So im just hoping maybe someone can shed a little light on the subject. Occasionally when i get in my 06 vert I get a "No Fob" mess on the DIC. Doesn't happen often. Seems like the car either shakes it off by itself or my fiddleing with the fob and such corrects it. Is this one of those famous C-6 gremblins that just happens from time to time ?? Or has anyone had this issue and eventually found a fault somewhere ?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this kinda makes one paranoid about driving it and having to shut it off somewhere. Thanks !!

Yes, you might have some object in your pocket with the fob that is partially blocking the signal from the fob. You might also have some electronic device plugged into an electrical outlet in the car, like a phone charger.

If the FOB is in your right pocket and it winds up between your leg and the crntre console the signal can be blocked.
I have taken to make sure the FOB is sitting on top of my leg when I'm sitting in the car.
