to get my 2011 GS A6 into the 200 mph club? I've been thinking about a SC but I believe that wont do anything but get me to top speed faster.

Somebody posted a long time ago that a C6 Manual trans needed 500RWHP to reach 200MPH. Don't know how much more would be needed for your widebody GS and the A6.

Looks like Forced Induction is the way to get 200 from a GS A6.

480-500 HP will do it.

I have no doubt that my ProCharged (550 rwhp) C6 will run north of 200 mph.

Thanks. Guess I will be going F/I before long. I was thinking I would need some way of raising the red line in order to get to 200.

Be aware that at 200 mph, you are going faster than many airplanes, and aerodynamics can be your great friend or deadly enemy.

I'd try to find some people who have been into the double century range with the GS body, see what suspension settings they used and any other aero mods.

The car has been in the 170's. it handled beautifully. But you could tell it didn't have much more in it. I'm sure given enough room it would have gotten into the 180's. thanks for the info. I'll be looking into F/I in the near future.

Nothing much.. I'd guess about $6000 - $8000 should get the job done

Are you looking to just hit 200mph in general or do you want to hit 200mph in the mile? There's a difference.

Just be able to do it in a reasonable distance. Just a bucket list item basically.
I dont want to have to have a 5 mile run to get there. Any idea on if I do the standard 6-10 psi which should put me in 550-599 hp range, how long would it take to hit 200?
