The right way: Build the engine first. Make it a 402 with forged internals and add the headers and cam simultaneously.
The "I don't have the money but right way": Keep it like it is and save money to build the engine.
The cheaper, normal way: Throw the cam and headers on, get a good tune. Don't abuse it constantly.
The bad way, in a good way: Throw in the cam and headers, add a 100 shot dry for lower iats and more power.
The badass way: build engine with cam and headers, add 150shot dry, upgrade to F1R procharger.
It's always more smarter to upgrade your drivetrain, fuel system, then engine.. How about meth and a bap if you already don't have that..You should see nice gains by extending you fuel limitation.. For most FI cars that's what's holding them back.. I do have obx 1 7/8 3in x pipe less than 2k miles for sale.. And 42lb injectors.. More info on your mods?
At least 60# injectors and a BAP, longtubes, blower cam of your choice. Maybe meth if thats your thing. 600+hp all day. No need for built motor/trans/rear.
Everybody wants more power and I get that, but what I want to know is what are people doing with this power? How the heck are they using it? I have a pro charged car myself and it spins the tires through third gear. I can't do 160 mph runs, it's mostly short power bursts when it's safe to do so but the car is skating all over the place. I guess that is just the way it is and you do 4th gear hard pulls once its hooking up in 4th gear?
You're probably pushing the petal to the ground or just stomping on the accelerator. Mine spins. Try putting it in Competitive Mode. And you can't do 160 mph runs where? I have about a 3 mile straight stretch highway right beside my house. I can do well over 160. Not using the whole 3 miles of course. The fastest I've been in mine is somewhere between 185 and 190, I was still climbing. I stopped paying attention to the speedometer after 185 and concentrated on the road. I will never again go that fast unless I'm on a smoother surface. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING IT ON A HIGHWAY. And mine is a convertible and after 170 the back of the top actually started lifting apart from the car. But with the spinning tires, it's going to happen. Remember, a street isn't a drag strip. A drag strip is a lot "stickier".

Never taken this car to the drag strip to time it. There isn't one anywhere near where I live in the delta. At least not to my knowledge. I would love to find out though.

After my V3 Vortech I am using M/T drag radials for street daily driving because nothing else will hold the power.
Probably lower than a 13. I could run a 13 in a stock c6.
Could or did? There's a big difference. I have seen 600rwhp vehicles running consistent 13s and 14s because the driver was horrible.
It's a little more difficult than roll-racing, which simply involves selecting the correct gear and mashing the throttle.

So what are you saying? I'm a bad driver because I play around on the street with my car? Oh okay sir. Have a nice day.
Headers should give you some nice gains, I really don't feel a cam is necessary until you've done headers and at least meth. With my Hoosiers I can get decent traction, you just have to pedal it a little until 3rd gear and I can mash it.
