I have tried to look up what would need replacing if my seal is causing a leak, and have only seen a green o ring.that goes between the pump and tank. Is there there a seal or something else between the upper locking ring and the pump?
Its been a while since Ive been able to check the area out, but Im thinking It may be possible to disconnect the line to the top of the pump, remove the old seal by pulling it up and over the pump (rather than dropping the tanks to pull the whole pump out and pull the seal from the bottom), then replace with a new seal...
heres a picture of the pump set up in our cars (images provided by motorhead 47):
Thanks!

You're going to have to drop the tank to access the pump.
If there is enough room to do what you suggest, I'd give it a try. I would worry that the O-ring wont stretch enough to let you get it over the top flange of the pump. I'd get a new O-ring first and see how much flex it has.
