Default dyno day!!

hey guys just wanted to post my dyno numbers of my '05 vette.. I just got it about a month ago and have been driving it but developed some low rpm issues and eventually tripped "lean" codes on both banks...so i decided it was time for a re-tune..the car came with a mild cam, headers full exhaust plus corsa mufflers, vararam intake and just yesterday i installed a 160* stat - was that a pain to purge...anyways the numbers were...

base pull: 358HP 361TQ - kind of low for me but to be honest it felt really good on the butt dyno..

second pull: 389 HP 387 TQ

third pull: 405 HP 398TQ @ 5,500 rpm

fourth pul:408HP 392TQ

AFR 12.47, 12.60, 12.68

taking about 15% loss thru drivetrain using the 3rd pull ,,,thats about 66HP and 58TQ gain from stock..not bad for a daily driven car ...what do you think..

many thanks to Josh from JR racing (super guy- helped me till 10:30pm with the installation of the stat)and Charles from V8muscle (who knows these vettes inside and out and only took 1.5 hr to do the tune)

...both buss. right here in the upstate greenville sc..super pleased with the results...

408 rwhp seems a bit low for a car with a cam and bolt-ons. My original 05 LS2 motor made 384/392 with headers, CAI and exhaust on a Mustang dyno (reads about 20 rwhp lower than a local dynojet). I would think 430-440 rwhp would be more inline with your mods.

Do you know what type of dyno it was on? The dynojet 248 seems to be the accepted standard to compare numbers here.

That makes more sense then. Mustangs are notorious for reading lower than others, sometimes by as much as 10% at the wheels.
