The first time it started but was running ruff, like it was not getting gas, no response pushing on gas pedal. Turned off and restart with same results several times. open door and close it and it starts and runs great . Week later it acts up again does same thing, open and shut door and it starts and runs great. It just happened again, but this time it just kept cranking had to push off button to stop cranking. Tried open/close door, still just cranking push off to stop cranking. Looked under hood to check fuel pump fuse it was good, checked wire plugs on air intake all wires look ok. Tried again it started run great on way home, tried it in garage it started every time.
Don't recall any other posts with your circumstances. IMO best bet, if you don't have your own code reader, is to go by an AutoZone (or similar store) and ask them to check for codes.
Did you notice any complaints displayed on the DIC?

Stock 2008 c6 mn6 new battery, 44,000 miles.
Anybody had this happen? Any ideas?
It sounds like it might be the fuel pump check valve. Put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail and see if the pressure leaks down.
