GS-Zero: Have your thought about installing a FAST intake manifold on your LS2?
Yes, but it was my understanding that the FAST would be the last mod to do, after heads. If this is inaccurate let me know, though I can imagine I still won't be able to justify the cost of a FAST...

If you plan on doing heads one day, then I believe that they would complement each other well. I was very happy with the FAST when I did my thread and would have installed it a lot sooner if I would have known how crappy the LS2 intake manifold is. The FAST is not cheap, but you may find one on the Parts / Sales forum section for a good price, just install and tune. As for which one I would pic first, I am not sure. Here a are two threads for you to check out - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...ke-on-ls2.html & http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...for-a-ls2.html

A ported FAST is more performance under the curve than headers and its cheaper than headers.
Anyway, here is a proven package that drives stock and hits your power goals. This car made 462 to the wheels with a stock like idle. It had 4.10 gears which lowers the dyno reading about 10hp so its around 470rwhp without a FAST intake. There is a video showing the actual driving and idle results. I think it is about 2500 in parts.
