Default 2006 purchase

I am looking at a 2006 with automatic trans, magnetic ride control with 145000 miles. Anything specific I should look for?
Thanks for any help.

Did you type that right........145,000 miles? Not 14,500?

If yes, one might assume mostly highway miles. And one might "hope" for meticulous maintenance.

Demand all service records. Should have had the 100,000 mile trans service and fluid replacement, brake fluid replacement every 2 years (at least), cooling system flush at 5 years (at least), carefully check all tire treads for even wear especially on the inside as many C6's have questionable alignments even from the factory and wear the insides of the front tires......warranty records - if coupe should have had the delaminating top recall done. And the Mag shocks......about all you can/should do is a thorough inspection of each shock looking for ANY signs of leakage/wetness near the tops.

Remember, tires tend to be expensive so figure that into your eval for future expenses. If it has HUD, check that out thoroughly for proper operation and visibility. The HUD's tend to break internally and while not a terrible problem it can be a little costly to replace even when doing it through the IP.

There will likely be more suggestions over the next day so be patient. Is the car at a dealer or private party?

Yes it is 145,000 miles. Private party he bought the car with 11,000 miles from the original owner in 2007. He claims the service has been kept up.
Thanks for your input.
