Has anyone ever found a logical way to view the windshield washer fluid reservoir? Since mine is filled with meth...I would like to take a look every so often. I know the sensor will register when it is empty..but just in case...
I thought maybe a replacement -inside wheel well- that has a plastic mini door/flap/window you can open or something??
You have a close out panel behind your fender to block the view from the side vent. If you remove the close out panel you can see the tank. It's more visible on the wide body cars, I know because my close out panel was out of stock when I did my wide body kit. I personally thought it looked really bad to be able to look into the guts of the car...but it will serve your purpose.
You can remove your front wheel and the rear inner fender liner to get at it if you like. I think the close out panel is stuck on with double sided tape if my memory serves.
Our cars have a low washer fluid sensor that gives a warning on the DIC...have you ever tested to see how much is left when the sensor goes on? If the warning comes on too low for your liking, perhaps you could relocate the sensor higher on the tank? Not sure if you can plastic weld those tanks or not but just an idea.
Oh and you could put some food coloring in the meth to color it so you could see it better in the white bottle I guess.

Here you go, remove the black panel on the inside of the fender. Very easy to see the level.

I just top mine off after X days of driving or X number of passes.. You could possibly make a cheap dip stick out of a large(long wide) Zip tie(or similar )..
My G8 had a dip stick for the washer fluid bc you cannot see the tank.. You would want to put 3-4 holes spaced apart near the bottom so the stick would catch some of the meth...
I'm also of the opinion removing the panel makes the car look cheaper than it already is . You can perfectly see the reservoir with the driver's door open. A flashlight helps, but if meth is clear, you might have a hard time checking level. Your best bet is to see at what point the low level warning shows up, and call it a day. Good luck.
