So who sells the best replacement battery for a ZO6? And my next question is food for thought. I'm new to my C6 but I know when I disconnected the battery on my C5 it was a few days of learning before the entire computer system got back to normal. (One time it kept killing itself because it thought I was trying to steal it) I know you guys can relate. So, question is.... How do we change the old battery out and still keep juice to the car so we dont have to go through all this stuff with the computers again every time?
I like Die Hard or Interstate myself. Basically anything but Optima but thats just me.
As far as your other question there is no waiting on computer relearning anything. You will need to reindex your windows and thats it. Most of the time even your clock and radio presets will not be affected.
Thanks EV
This is my first C6, the C5 would take a day or two to get back to normal. Also seemed like I had to redo all the seat memory also. So your saying the only thing I loose is the window index? And everything else is Ok
Yesterday went to Bennett Auto, and replaced with Delco, only thing I lost was window index, and for some reason the clock, not the presents on the radio.
I use Walmart batteries in all my vehicles including the vette. Never had a problem and never use a tender. Walmarts are everywhere in case you ever have a problem.
Right. You wont loose any presets. Just the window index and that takes about 5 seconds per window to reindex. Some times the clock resets like 1bdvet but thats never happened to me.
