Default SIP(stic it performance)/RamAirSS intakes

I noticed that these two intakes are extremely similar and also that they take the air from the cut made to the radiator shroud just like the honker. Any ideas of the performance of those intakes, issues, etc? I don't know if they are vendors, so I didn't link their sites.

Here are the pics:

Bringing this back because I can't believe nobody has had any experience with this type of intake. Good or bad, I just want to know.

Ok I scored a BNIB Stic It Performance intake for a great price. My question is now, can I use it with a canned tune? I'm thinking about puting the vette on a dyno to see where the af ratio is at without the intake and with the intune canned tune. What is the typical reaction of the pcm once an aftermarket intake is added? Does the pcm has the ability to correct? does it get rich or lean?

You shouldnt neeed a tune as long as there isnt any air turbulance although a tune will awlays help, not just with the intake but getting the AF just right any way. But the pics shows the MAF kinda being aligned a little different than stock as the rubber accordin hose seems to be scrungched some and this may casue a problem.

Good eye! My concern is how bad this intake might throw the tune out of whack. I'm going to hold off on installing it until I can get it tuned. Thanks for the advice!

A couple of months have passed and I installed headers, x pipe and Diablew tune which have worked great. Meanwhile the intake is still sitting inside a box. Since I have to make a cut into the radiator shroud and the maf housing being 107mm, causes me some second guesses and I don't have the guts to install it.
Something tells me that this intake is going to give me a headache. What are you thoughts? Would you run it? I got it for a great deal and that's the main reason I bought it.

I hate when I can make my own mind LOL
