I installed the Elite Engineering catch can this weekend ('12 GS dry-sump) & all went smoothly. And after only a 30 mi drive there was a full soupspoon pool of oil in the catch can. I bought the CC because of how much oil was pooled on the floor of the intake manifold (it drenched a 5"x5" piece of t-shirt), but figured oil only entered the intake intermittantly in small amounts @ high RPMs. Wrong. I wish I'd done this when it was new.
I chose the EE can b/c I'd read nothing but positive feedback on it & the RX can. I chose the EE over the RX because I prefer unscrewing the entire bottom of the can from its base & dumping it vs; dealing with the RX drain hose, etc. Read CC can testing here; http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...an-system.html
The install took @ 1 hour & I took my time. The lower mounting bolt for the catch can mounting arm is inaccessible with a hex wrench so I ground off 6 sides of the bolt so I could tighten it w/ a 14mm wrench.
This is the second EE product I've bought (billet heel-toe & dead pedals) & am completely impressed with their product quality, fast shipping, etc. The only thing they need to change is to a different lower mounting-arm bolt.
They are excellent and I had mine installed the day I brought my car home! It really is amazing how much oil and fuel vapor gets pushed back through your engine...
Hmmm. I help you and you help me. Just ordered from JDP too.
I appreciate your business and support! Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions! Have a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon!

i gotta pull the one off on her vette and see what's in it
on my TA i love this catch can
sharp looking and VERY functional, was a great troubleshooting tool for my CC evacuation problems for sure
the EE tunnel plate is also a VERY very nice piece too
highly recommend it
That was exactly what I did. Not fun having to spend nearly $200 on something GM should have done right. But contrary to reports of GSs not having the issue, I checked, cleaned my intake, checked 200 miles later, and very oily rag. So bit the bullet. But after installing an EE can on my LS1 and LS2, I didn't want to remove the Helmholtz chamber (it's there for a reason) on my LS3, so went with AMW next to the hood hinge, since it's narrower (doesn't touch anything). And it's practically invisible without a flashlight . Bottom line is every C6 needs one of those... unfortunately. Have a good one gang.
To Elite Engineering for building a high quality product and having terrific customer service. I ordered mine through Maryland Speed. It shipped direct from EE to my home. I installed it but it didn't fit correctly. Turns out it did not ship with the required spacer.
I called EE directly and explained that I had already cut the hoses to size and installed w/o the spacer. EE immediately shipped out a new hose and spacer. Not only that, they also send a new bracket without even asking for it. And they shipped it priority!
The can is now installed correctly and works as expected. I had just replaced my Intake Manifold w/ a VMAX ported IM. My original IM had quite a bit of oil in it. The can is catching oil and looks great under my hood. Super easy install.
