Default LS3 MAF install on LS2 need HELP PLEASE!

Hi all, I need help with tuning a ls3 maf sensor on my 06 C6, I installed the stock ls3 air bridge with the maf sensor, but I need to have it tuned.

Please if anyone in the NYC area can help or anyone can give input on which direction to go with this I'd appreciate it.

I have a diablo sport intune, but not HP tuners, do I need to switch to HP tuners?

Thanks in advance

You're going to need HP Tuners or similar software.

I got a copy of a Z06 and then pasted the air temp and MAF table into my program and then tuned the MAF.

You also need an adaptor harness or new pigtail and rewire for the blade style sensor.

Actually your intune can do it. The problem is you can't cut and past the IAT values in Diablo's software. Let me explain this better, you can change the value but not the break points and they are different between the Delphi(LS2) maf and the Hitachi(LS3) Maf. Call me, I can fix your file and send it back to you. I don't do this for free, but it would cost and hour of time. Huge savings over buying HP Tuners.

If you want it to work it has to be fixed with intune or else your intune will not be able to be used again. Someone with EFILive or HPtuners can go in and modify the axis in your car and fix the IAT transfer function. If you use your intune to do anything else it will make the axis back to the stock again which will mess up what you just paid to fix.

Which tune would you need from the intune? the stock one or the performance one I load into the ecu?

Keep your stock one, I need the one you are working on and actually installing in the car. Once you send me a copy you will need to rename it so you do not accidentally load it back into the car.

Just dippin here, but what is the worth of the swap? Dramatic enough to go through all the jazz of tune and what not, it must offer somethin..

That was my thought...why go through all of this? Can't imagine that one or the other has any great performance gains.

It's not really about the MAF sensor, its about the air box. You can't change to the newer airbox unless you make the change for the MAF.
The LS3 vs. LS2 airbox, the LS3 or really the LS7 is hands down better.

log into the HP Tuners website http://www.hptuners.com/ and go to the 'depository' and locate a stock Z06 file and download it. Then open it and copy & paste the MAF & IAT tables. Then tune the MAF to your car.

Thanks for the feedback, I copied one from a 2010 grand sport, and so far the car starts and runs with those tables, is there any other tables that need to be adjusted? Thanks

Not as far as rescaling the MAF and IAT tables. You'll want to tune the MAF when done and that's pretty much it for that part.

I did notice that my 06 has a low and high table for the MAF, whereas the 08+ only have one table, and the numbers a slightly off, not by much though. Is there a way to copy the single table and use that instead of the high & low? Car is idling nice, going to test drive it later when I hook up my UEGO sensor to log for my recently installed fast 102

Thanks

Do you mean the MAF table that relates to the VE? Sorry I'm new to the tuning scene, but I'm getting it.

I copied and pasted the tables from the z06 08, they had the high and low MAF frequency tables

Thanks

I copied the High & Low MAF tables and the IAT tables from an 07 Z06and pasted them into my files, an 07 LS2, and then adjusted the MAF tables.
