Have a 2008 C6. Had the thottle body ported and is now causing some minor issues while operating the car. When I come to a stop the idle begins to slowly climb to 1400rpm and then drop back to normal idle position. Also, when I let of the gas peddle while driving the car it seems like the butterfly is ever so slightly open not allowing the car to slow down while in gear. Also dont get the some back pressure and exhaust noise when letting off the gas. Help would be appreciated.
I have taken the intire assembly apart and checked it out and re installed. I do not think its a vacuum leak especially since the car was running fine until the TB was installed. I had the GM TB ported by VMAX. I think its ported to much. Sad thing is I spent 12 hours correclty sanding and polishing it and now I will most likely have to do that again.
ok, some have great luck with ported TB, some, like you, not so much. you might need to have a tuner look at it.
I was informed by my tuner that tuning it is only putting a band aid on the problem which I agree with! The reason I ordered the vmax was to avoid these kind of problems. Guess I will have to start making phone calls.
I've been running a VMAX ported throttle body for about 5 years with absolutely no problem on my 06. I'd contact VMAX and have them send you a new one.

Alot of people have the vmax ported TB and runs fine. Possibly I just got a bad draw. I am going to call the vendor and see if he will send me another. If the the problem continues I will be going back to OEM.
They took too much out of the blade area. You can tune it out and it's not a band aid. A simple Idle air adjustment will fix the problem. This sounds dumb, but make sure you still have your gasket in between the TB and intake.
I helped a guy out w/ a high idle problem, turns out he forgot the gasket. We all make dumb mistakes like that once and awhile.

Lol, yeah i have made my fair share of mistakes. But the gasket is still there between the TB and manifold. The car idles correctly just decides to rise to 1400rpm when coming to a stop and drop back down. Find it weird that it idles correctly but is doing that. The car has already been tuned. Not sure that adjustment will help. I have been informed by many they never needed to tune the car after installing a ported TB.

tried the Vmax ported tb and car ran like crap. it was untuneable.before trying to tune it it would idle at 3200 rpm.
Wow, thats no good! What did you end up doing? Did the tune help at all?
had three tuners try to tune it. got the idle down but car not driveable.put stock tb back on and all was good. dont know what the problem was but I would actually like to try another Vmax sometime
