Have a 427 vert build in mid Dec. How long does the paint take to cure? What is the proper wait time before I can wax and cover the car without worrying about paint damage or fogging from the cover. I have a breathable GM indoor cover that came with it. Dealer told me not to cover for a month. Cover instructions say three months on fresh paint.
well the paint is baked at the factory, so you are good to wax it by the time it gets to the dealer.... if not, then its horrible paint and you should have it redone... gms clear is one of the hardest out... takes forever to cut and polish....

Regardless of what brand paint the factory uses they are all baked and pretty much good to go by the time they leave the paint booth, furhermore todays paints and urethane clearcoats take very little time to cure on their own without going thru the baking process, when you wax or use a sealant you do exactly that you seal it but no way you will induce a hazing in the paint unless the paint is already hazed, the only time i have ever seen a hazing in the paint is when the paint was applied in a high humidity environment and no steps were taken to control the environment , it's moisture getting trapped in the paint.
