Okay,

So I've finally arrived on a package I think I like.

Car is an 06' Z51 A6....already Kooks LTs and catted X pipe, Vararam and a Corsa sport exhaust.

Ported FAST 102
PRC ported 243s
Yank 3600 stall
Spin spec Cam

What do you think of the combo?

That's pretty solid for a cam/heads upgrade. I'd do a supercharger before all that though. That's about the best $/hp upgrade available. You get perfect manners and stock like mpg. A gnarly cam sounds good, but gets old at the pump. If you're hell bent on heads/cam, your plan is good.

OP: Here are two good threads to read, if you have not seen them yet http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...parison-2.html & http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...ods-input.html If it was me, I would also look at replacing the OEM pulley with an ATI unit.

Looks solid. Who is porting the FAST? Doing the Spin Cam isn't going to put his MPG in the crapper, so a blower would be about the same mpg wise. I would personally use AI for heads, but that's just my opinion. I would also do the Comp rocker arms trunion upgrade.

Just came out of a blown C5.....I want an all motor car this go around. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Some good reading right there......and I'm for sure swapping out the OEM balancer.

FAST was ported locally here by a reputable shop.....bought it used at a nice price. Trunion upgrade along with a C5R chain are also on the list.

I don't know if I would bother with the ported 243 heads. I would save a while longer for Trickflow 230cc heads from AI. http://www.advancedinduction.com/LSX...0ccTFSHead.php

Get the powdered metal guide option and either Lunati or BTR dual springs.

You can also order the Spin cam from Phil at AI and he will verify the specs of the cam with Cam Doctor before sending it out to you. I've heard one report on here where Phil sent the cam back to Comp three times.

Default good choices

cammed NA cars sound great, don't forget a C5R t-chain, gaskets & pulley while you are there (free hp) or @ $250 anyway . if you do it yourself you will save @ $1000

good luck
