Might not have been the numbers you were looking for Dennis but even with the traction issues you still got two new best ETs out of it.
You got some of that killer trap speed back that the new converter seemed to have stolen too which is nice.
It won't be easy at all but if you can just somehow find the track prep that you had in December (1.34 sixty foot) along with some more favorable barometer you might just see some 10.0s.
It's also a testament to the reliability of your 'fast street car' combination as well, ALL those passes inside of just a few hours like that and then you still got to drive it back home, I like that.
They should only know how many I did not get, cleaning the track, putting more water down, removing the battery charger & etc
Early on we started at 20 psi and worked our way down to 17 PSI for a good pass. Then the track conditions changed we had to go back up again to 20.5 psi and gradually work down to 18.5 psi for a good pass. It was like that all day for everyone.
If you consider that Dennis tired different launching techniques too.... it must have been about $ 5.50 a pass
Yup he would make any bean counter proud .......where is Joe when we need him
I usually put down some rubber for the faster guys but I was supposed to take video and did not bring a set of drag radials; so I became the pit crew. Even if I had tried to keep the lanes warm for the faster guys conditions were so bad I doubt it would have helped. :yesnod
I doubt that most of you have never seen a Corvette dance like Garys did near the big end on Friday. Gary gets the "Oh My God I kept it in my lane award" for some great driving after Rob took the right lane and Gary ended up in street tires only very cold left lane.
I realize that we do get some great DA days here in Jersey but it comes at a price, once again we all got to go home in one piece.
Glad you were their to help Tommy i cant do any of this without you and Marc's help
Gary you gave it your best shot if you could have only pushed the gas pedal
with the missing slip and any Tommy didn't get its less then $10.00 a pass
I did try my best. It just proves that more HP does not always get you down the track faster.

Tommy- Great seeing you again. You did a fantastic job crewing for Dennis. Oh so close.
Nice to get home in one piece. An in-car vid would have said it all. Crunching the numbers, the right lane was at least 0.17 quicker than the left lane after the 60'. (More like 0.25) Atco did a great job prepping and re-prepping both lanes but the sun was not present early on to bring the track temps up.

when's the next attempt? Perhaps I can make it there if no one buys my car before then. I spoke to Dennis for quite a while the other day and I admitted that if I cant sell my car it will run 9s this fall

soon as i see a -1300im sure it will Norm come to atco and stay at my house
he couldn't make it this time, i dont think he was to enthused about the barometer, we talked the night before and i wasn't going to come unless it was a 30.20 minimum, i got up and said f it im going i love to race the car, my wife gets pissed if i take of work or i would go everyday

9s will be quite difficult at his current weight and on a 17" tire but they're not totally out of the question.
I figure he's going to need at least a 1.31 sixty foot and some strong barometer to do it.

BTW- Where was Marc?
I didn't think he was going to end up running so I'd made other plans, wish I'd come down though. I could've even ridden down with Bob T (he lives like 4 miles away from me LOL).
If I spin on two passes I stop beating on the equipment. I know my luck is going to run out one day so I hold my WOT passes for a prepped track and the best DA I can find.
Your car is put together well to stand that many passes. The spinning launches worry me more than hooking BTW.
