2005 C6 performance upgrades HELP
With the CoW tune, we haven't been back but i can certainly tell you the car picked up considerably, i can tell this by the light runs we do against each other and how she pulls away (3-4 lengths at mid speeds) very easily now compared to before
if i recall 8.3ish at 92mph (think like 8.2 and 94mph was the best)
but they were all somewhat consistent and she did nothing but back to back to back (keep repeating) runs and had guys begging her to let them win LOL
all i can say is a Blonde in a victory red corvette turns heads
she rolled out of the start too, no launching or anything
fully loaded gas tank too
we have LG streets
borla sport mufflers
ported intake
SLP CAI
160 stat
indexed plugs
CoW complete engine/trans/booster
ported TB
her vette has 3:15 gearing too
Super car EMTs
MTI plug wires too
now has RE11's so with the tune and RE11's should be nice
so i am hoping for better numbers
you'll want or need a decent convertor/gears if you are into the 1/8 mile numbers
i went with ported intake because i thought we were gonna go SC
a FAST intake would add some, but not sure how the autos with stock gearing act since the rpm range of that intake lists 1800-6500 (iirc)
plus the ported intake was cheaper
without getting to insane, thats about what you can do
my other suggestion would be since you have an auto is 1.8 intake and 1.7 exhaust crane quick lift rockers, i think the 1.8 on the intake should help promote some more torque through the street driving RPMs
or look at the SLP 1.85 rockers/springs/pushrods
could also look into the electric water pump too
I did try the MSD coils, and had that intermittant issue so had to take them off
I'm an MSD junkie thats why i tried them, but haven't had luck with their TPI distributor or LS coils (as many others report similar issues)
I think a Tune Headers, & converter will get you well into the 7's for the 1/8th....

OP: Here is a thread that I made about the FAST 102 - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...st-intake.html

With a 1/8 mile at 8.2/8.4 I would think that your wife would traverse the 1/4 mile anywhere around 12.4x - 12.5x not bad with the stock rubber and soft launch.
You mention the SLP435 tune. That package came with cold air intake, axle back exhaust, 160 stat & tune. It was good for 12.3 @ 113.xx way back in 05 with the stock tires. So with a bit of practice I would expect your car to be a bit faster with the LG street headers. good luck
To the OP
With regard to your question. My car is very similar to Johns car (05 LMB A4, 3.15 gears) with the exception that I have a fast 90 and complete Z06 exhaust.
If I can make a suggestion you can install a complete Z06 exhaust from the exhaust manifolds to the mufflers add a fast 90 intake with a cold air intake (Vararam, Honker & etc....) get a tune and run high eleven second runs on the stock rubber with a bit of practice.
Please note that I shoe horned the axle back Z06 three inch pipes in my car I would suggest that you use the 2.5 inch pipes for the axle over pipes as it is much easier to do and will not require modification to the knock sensor sensitivity of your tune.
I you want to go faster you can install a 2800 stall converter and have it tuned to shift into OD early and keep the down shifts soft if you feel the converter is to loose. Please note you will have to be very careful on the go pedal otherwise you will just spin you tires and go no where.

Currently my car has the following modifications: 160 stat, 2800 stall speed converter, Bilstein shocks, complete Z06 exhaust system, Fast 90 intake manifold, Honker cold air intake, Gumbies, Line lock, Tune and 17 inch MT drag radials mounted on C5 front wagon wheels.
In that trim with 1/2 gas tank of gasoline it has run a best of 11.3x and will run 11.4x all day & 11.5x in the heat. If I run with GTO spares up front, take out the passenger seat and run 1/4 tank of gas it has run a best of 11.17. So with a few well thought out modifications you can really wake up a LS2 without spending your shirt Good luck
maybe changing to a high flow air filter might be better than stock oem. and yeah fast102, lt headers are excellent - but cost a lot more..CAI and tune are very affordable and great bang for the buck.
