I just purchased a MGW shifter for my 2012 GS. I watched the install video several times and it seemed pretty straight forward....that is until I went to install the new MGW shifter to the shift case. The video clearly shows that you use the 4 provided bolts that have both a lock washer and a flat washer. My issue is the 4 bolts that I received all have lock washers but no flat washers. Anyone run into this? I could just get some washers at the hardware store, but now am wondering if something changed and they aren't used? Anyone have any insight into this... If George is out there and can address this even better. My car is torn apart now and I would love to get it back together before Monday.

Yes, the shifter bolts bury into the shifter mount. This allows the side set allen screws to tighten against the head of the shifter bolts preventing the bolts from backing out. The flat washers would prevent the shifter bolts from going into the mount holes. The DVD needs to be updated for the new design. I think an instructional insert was added for this revision. It's actually a nice design. I sent you a PM.
