For autocross, they work just fine. Flush fluid once per year.
For HPDE, you'll want something better once you learn to get more out of the car. Flush fluid before each event with a good high temp version. The Autocross/Road Race section here is full of good advice.
AutoX you should be fine stock. Track day you will want more aggressive pads (I like carbotech) and better brake fluid such as Motul 600 or if you are really serious, Castrol SRF.
Keep in mind if you are going to change between street and track brake pads, you really will want a dedicated set of rotors for the track that go with your track pads. Two different pads being used on the same rotors is going to cause issues.
For some people (like me), I don't want to mess with changing rotors and pads between street and track. I got a StopTech ST60 big brake kit up front to go with carbotech xp12 brake pads, and I run the OEM rear calipers with xp 10 brake pads. I just drive around on the street like that. Yes, they are noisy. It doesn't bother me anymore. Most people are too busy listening to the roar of my cam, headers with no cats, and NPP exhaust that is wide open so they don't notice the brakes making noise.
