1. Search this forum..type in titles like CAM , LS2 CAM , CAM DYNO...lots of great info there...and keep it to C6 section
2. Research and find a reputable shop to do the work...In Ga I highly recommend Vengeance Racing but I dont know if you want to ship/trek your car near here to do so...I good builder /shop can help with your knowledge and steer you the right way
3. Understand your goals...max hp / hp and great tq / driveability...cams are a little complicated...
A good shop can build you a great cam...call vengeance since you will be installing...they will get you everything you need...amazing shop / just had mine finished there.
try Vengeance in Cumming. they can build you a nice package that you can install yourself, I did. then you will need a tune though. if you are going to race the car I would suggest investing in a updated diff. the 05's were not the strongest around.
Looking for a big Cam for my 05 LS2 as well as heads. Any ideas?
Hi! How do you use the car? That will be the biggest determining factor in your build. It's easy to get overwhelmed fast with all of the cam choices out there, I suggest working with a reputable vendor to fill your needs. We do all sorts of set ups here, from drag racing, cruisers, road racers, etc we can surely set you up with something to meet your goals.
We did an excellent Advanced Induction heads package and a custom cam for this 2005 LS2 - LINK. He was a road racer looking for low and mid range grunt. Ended up making 471 rhwp...and he still has the stock catback!
Let us know if we can help with the specs or the tuning, all we do here is late model GM performance so we're very specialized.
