So i have been having some issues on and off with the drivers side door opening and closing.. Sometimes it would not open from the outside, i would have to sit there n play with it a few times to get it to open...I ended up cleaning the outside door switch and its been working perfectly...
I'm still having problems with the inside door switch though..its a hit or a miss when it will work..Today i took the vette out and noticed the window didn't want to fully close after shutting the door, and it would keep opening and closing by it self repeatedly.. eventually it stops..
A while back the door actually opened by it self once, while the car was off. Only seen that happen once though..
I've done some searches and couldn't find anything with similiar problems that i'm having..Does this sound like a door actuator issue??
Car is a 2006 targa,auto...not sure if that matters lol

Sometimes, resetting the window indexing will fix that problem. This must always be done after a car battery disconnect, then reconnect.
With the engine running and the window down, close the car door. Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done. Don't forget the other window. (This is in the owner's manual.)
Here's the TSB on the issue of the window going up and down continuously. Looks to me like maybe the door pad switch is actually defective and not just dirty. It is the only source of the up/down continuously problem that I have ever heard of.

are you referring to the outside switch or inside switch?? i cleaned the outside switch and it's working great now. The inside switch sometimes doesn't work at all..
The TSB refers to the outside switch...the rubber pad one. I'm thinking that even though you cleaned it, it may actually be defective. It is capable of making the inside one appear not to work. It is a very inexpensive part...might be worth trying a new one for about $12 I think.
You could also try cleaning or replacing the inside switch...it pops out easily. Maybe pop it out and then spray a bit of contact cleaner into it.

I got a guy at a chevy dealer. I'm gonna give him a call and get that outside switch and see how much an inside switch is..if an inside switch is inexpensive as well, i'll buy all 4 and see if it fixes the problem..thank you for your help!!
dude i paid 400 dollars at chevy to have new battery and 1 switch installed. had the exact same problem i tried cleaning the switch. buy two new switches 12 dollars each this will fix your problem i gaurantee it
and that is why dealerships dont touch my cars unless its warranty work lol..i ordered up the switches..they came in today but i didn't have time to pick them up...
