navigation issue

I have a 2007 and the nav system freezes ,but resets after a period of time. Message " insert map disc " Disk is in. Chevy dealer reset system, but still have issue. Will a new disc solve the problem?

I'm betting the laser lens is dirty. Get a can of compressed air and put a few shots in the disc slot. Do the CD slot too while your at it. See if that works.
