No, not the song for the older crowd. When I get out of my new 2012 GS, shut the door, and walk toward the front of the car, the horn will honk 3 times. Anyone know why and how to stop this nonsense?
I don't have the security system set to honk on alarm set, just lights to flash. I'm letting it lock itself.
I've had that happen some times. I found the start switch is not in the off position. I get in, close the door and recycle the start switch to off. It then will give 1 honk after exiting the car telling me all is well.
mine does that if i open the door to get out and then decide to not get out and shut the door.... In my case I think its warning me that I got out and left the keys inside the vehicle and shut the door.

Hmm, I thought hitting the switch and the car shutting off was turning it off. I'll have to experiment with that. Used to my C5 and keys. Thanks for the heads up.
After you get out of the car and close the door, you may be staying too close to the door with the fob for too long. Car "thinks" the fob is still inside. This has been reported by some here.

No fobs inside, but I do have a tight garage with the wife's car, mine, and the workbench. Perhaps the walk down the front of the car is doing it. Think I'll try putting the fob in the other pocket and see what happens. That might just be it, thanks.

Probably won't be in front of the car - more likely to be when you're still too close to the door for too long. But putting the fob in another pocket might do it, especially if that new pocket is further from the door.
