Default Gasket Question for LS2

I have been tossing around the idea of putting a set of PRC ls6 2.5 heads on my 2005 C6 . If I use a cometic gasket of say .040 what would by just doing this bump my compression to? How much power would the be worth or how much of a benefit should is see by doing this over using the stock size gasket?

Current mods:
Halltech intake
228/234 600/600 112 cam
Hardened Push rods 7.4
Texas speed headers and off road x pipe.
SLP mufflers.
