Default Halltech Super Bee install help

Hi guys,

Hey I am having some issues installing the Superbee II I purchased from you. Not a problem doing the actual work or anything. It seems to be that this system will not even fit on a 2013 427 LS7 engine.
If you look at the 2 pics attached you can see a black cover type piece (shown in pic with orange arrow) that is connected to the tube going from the throttle body to the air filter. (shown in the pic with the red arrow) which doesn’t exist on the tube section included with the Superbee II. I see where the PCV piece attaches and the MAF (?) piece that you attach with your included extension cord. However the Halltech tube section does not have that round attachment part (the red arrow part) Also that cover is attached to the radiator shroud and would require a 3rn hole to be cut and a 3rd little tab to be used to be able to attach your over.

So, do you even know what this extra box/cover/piece is that attaches to the air tube? It is on the passenger side of the engine. I am not sure what to do at this point but it does not look like the Superbee intake will work.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

That's part of the stock air intake. Nothing needs to be cut and you don't need it. Just remove the pin that it is connected to on the shroud and you are done.

Are you referring to the pin that holds it to the radiator shroud part or the entire box part? (where the orange arrow points)?

Do you know what that thing is? What it does?

How would I plug up the hole where it connects to the tube by the pvc connector?

It is part of the stock air intake designed to reduce air noise. You won't be plugging any holes because it will come off as a single unit. You'll need to remove all three pins to remove the intake.

You remove that entire assembly from the Throttle body out. Then remove the PCV elbow from the stock bellows and put it into the the new coupler, and transfer the mas airflow sensor. They have a video on their site to show how it goes together. I just put one on a 13GS and it took like 10min.

WOOT...thanks everyone for the help. I understand now what you meant by that part all being connected on the stock intake. That one part that is supposed to help with noise reduction? heh I didn't notice any sound difference at all I was able to get everything all installed and looks good, runs perfect with no issues at all.

Appreciate all the help, this place
