Default What Computer Reprogrammer And Spoiler Info

I see and read about a number of computer reprogrammers for the various years of Corvette. (Mine is a 2006. Really? Must be why I am in the 2006 C6 section! <<GRIN>>)

What is a decent one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

What do *you* like about it? How did that one improve the overall performance of your car. Is the car quicker, did it improve your shift speeds (automatic) Does it speed up the paddle operation? Did your gas mileage go up, down, or stay the same.

Spoilers.....On the Coupe, Base model...Do they actually work at high speed or are they just for show?

Thanks in advance!

Seeings as I had an overwhelming response, I have taken the majority's advice and ordered a Hypertech Max Energy. I thing for what I want that will be fine. In truth, they all look fairly equal in what they do.(In that price range..$300-$400)

I chose Hypertech's Max Energy because of the good relationship I had with their reprogrammer installed in my Thunderbird Super Coupe.

Reviewers seem to like the Max Energy so. I have ordered it. (I did ask for infor from the vendor here that sells the InTune/Diable, but he never got back to me..and that was a week go. Guess he has enough sales for the month. If anyone has a constructive thoughts about the MaxEnergy, I would be delighted in hearing them. I *will* give a report and evaluation after I reprogram my car. (As every has to know by now, a 2006 Base Coupe.)

Might want to take your questions to the C6 Scan and Tune section where they talk about this stuff ad nauseum. Lots of good info and vendors over there.

Qh GEEZE! Did I screw up again? Never even 'saw' that section....Just figured Performance was the spot. Sorry about that.

Thanks for reminding me where to go! LOL.

(I'll see if I can delete that post and move it over to the other section.)

No need to delete. Guys in here will chime in too, just Scan and Tune is a better place.

I would have recommended a professional tuner as opposed to hypertext.

The good individuals with tuning capability like chuck at COW have a device that would better serve you.

You might consider halting your present order of the hypertext to at least consider your options before it ships.

Good luck either way

I'll take a look. I know there are many, very good, reprogrammers, A good friend (And a member here, Mr. Bill.), has an EFILIVE...*THAT* does everything except the dishes, but..it is W-A-A-Y too much programmer for my needs, or wants. I just want something simple, to program my shifts and tighten them up a smidge. I will probably never venture too far from stock on the car, and never, not even interested in drag racing it (unless one considers accelerating 40 to 120 mph passing a train of cars, on a mountain road, that are afraid to pass an 18 wheeler doing 35 mph!)...I have a car. ..a 1965 Falcon Sprint, Pro Street, that goes extremely fast in a 1/4 mile. I am really mostly interested in going very fast on the 100 mile, empty stretches of highway, here in Nevada! And..it is looking very good that I won't even be speeding if I am cruising at 90, as the current legislature is considering a bill to raise the speed limit on open highways, here in Nevada, to 85, which means, of course, everyone will be doing 5 over!
