Default Do these gains seem right?

I have a 2005 LS2 with a vararam intake, NW 102mm TB, Fast 102 (nonported), fuel rails, 7/8 kooks headers, a catted x-pipe, and a 3" NPP Z06 exhaust.

After a tune it came out to 388 RWHP...

does this sound a bit low to anyone else? i was hoping for at least 400

I think bigger gains would be seen with the LS3 comparatively speaking.

A small cam upgrade would put you over the 400 mark very easily and with no driveability/emission issues. In the 30 rwhp realm.

What was the baseline dyno? That's the only way to see gains. All dynos will definitely not read the same.

That's very good then. Typically an M6 will dyno around 345 on a properly calibrated dynojet stock.

That seems like a very nice gain from your original numbers. My C608 A6 LS3 w/ NPP and Callaway CAI after a recent tune went from wrhp 373 to 395. I hope to get 40wrhp more with adding Kooks 1 7/8 Headers, catted x pipe 3" and new tune.

I wouldn't count on getting 40rwhp from headers. 25rwhp is more likely.

what did it make before the mods.. the Final number means nothing really with out a before number.

if it made 380 before, something isnt right.. if it made 330 before.. sounds about fair. I havent seen people pick up much power realy with a fast and stock cam. IMO not worth the money.

My mods are similar and I have no clue what it's making. I have a dyno tune session tomorrow in Memphis at Dynospeed, a well know LS engine authority in SW Tennessee. With my mods, I am really hoping for something over 400 to the wheels, but the real gage will come at the drag strip. My previous best without the FAST and tune was a 12.26@115. I am really hoping to dip into the 11s with my current mods.

He started at 322...very strong gains for his mods.

Unless you have the most generous dyno on earth there is no chance you'll be at 400rwhp.

OP: Congrats on your new power increase, the FAST is a nice mod for the LS2 - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...st-intake.html

Yeah, I know I'm reaching for 40rwhp. Dreaming I guess. This new set up is step one in getting the supercharger next... maybe when I see the first c7 on the road lol.

Was this dynojet or Mustang dyno? SAE or standard numbers?

You were right, but it's not that far off of 400...lol, (power of positive thinking) Mine matched the OPs exactly.

I had an email tune on it before this session so the increase isn't as huge as if this were the first tune. I started out with 369.51 HP and 388.52 TQ and ended up with 386.7 Power and 399.7 TQ. So, that's a pretty sizeable increase. If it made 330 bone stock, that's about 56 HP improvement.

The dyno numbers don't say a thing about the seat of the pants feel which is awesome. If you're in the area, you couldn't do better than DynoSpeed in Memphis, TN.

I will post the graph when I get home and scan it in.

Yeah, Forest is "the Man"! He did a great job in getting the most out of the tune. I couldn't stick around for midnite madness, but did go to Test and Tune in the evening on Thursday. I picked up a tenth and a half over my previous best, but really had hoped to get into the 11s. I'll post my time slips later.

Edited: added ET slips and dyno graph:
