2008 FOB doesn't work

I have an '08 coupe, FOB #1 works but #2 doesn't. I have replaced the batteries it worked once after I replaced it and now it doesn't work again.

Any suggestions.

I inserted in glove box and it worked. I removed it then tried starting and it didn't work. When you try to unlock it from the FOB it doesn't work.

If the replacement battery isn't smooth it won't make a good connection. See if squeezing the FOB helps. It did with mine when I had a battery that wasn't smooth.

Those symptoms are certainly consistent with a fob that is not getting power. Could be dead or low fob battery or battery installed incorrectly...take a look at the DIY at the beginning of C6 general.
