Default Timing chain?

I am doing a cam swap this weekend and I wanted to know if I should also replace the timing chain? The factory chain has maybe 30,000 miles on it? Do they make an aftermarket chain that is better than the factory chain? What about the factory plastic chain guides?

Nice setup you have in that list. I would definitly change the chain. I went with a C5R chain from Katech and a new cam gear and damper from Lingenfelter.

don't chance it. get a C5R , cam gear and LS2 damper. I would also suggest a new high volume oil pump. don't forget Loctite and a new ARP or OE crank bolt.

I got the C5R chain on the way and I am going to get the ATI balancer.

Good input here. I run the C5R on mine. Once you're there, its always a good feeling to throw a little more into it and buy some extra margin down the road.
