None. There is no such thing as a performance chip for a C6. Any ad saying otherwise is a scam.
In many car clubs, etc chip is another way of saying tune. Although there are companies out there that try to sell actual chips but I know in the Nissan forums they mean tune when they say chip and usually used in terms of straight bolt ons. But if OP is refering to an actual physical chip then yea stay away.
As funky as it sounds when I say a mail order tune, it is quite custom. It involves loading a stock tune, letting the car acclimate to it, then gather some data from a short drive (under specific conditions), send that data to Lewis (via email), he modifies it and sends it back for reloading into your car. That process continues for at least 2 more times to fine tune to your car. The tune is VIN specific. I really like what he did. It really woke up my car. Take a look at his website. --PLUS--you'll have a code reader for reading and clearing trouble codes!!
give slowhawk performance a call. they are in bridgewater and work on a lot and I mean a lot of corvettes. he will do a dyno and street tune. you will be happy
