Default C6 - Tuner? Programmer?

I'm considering options for getting more HP out of my C6 LS2. When I did this in the past (Think late 1980's!) I ahad just changes the chip. Things have become more complicated since then. already have changed the air intake and exhaust. I still want more out of this car. I would like to keep it under $700. I've been poking around here and see many recommend having cars tuned by performance shops. I also see that tuners are available. Will these tuners do the same thing that a performance shop will? What will get me THE BEST results? Thanks in advance!

Personal tunes on a dyno are the best. They are set up just for and based on, your car.

As for canned and reconfigurable tuners, the newer ones are getting better/not bad but still not as good as a "tune". If you want to dig more into the hand held tuners I suggest you go over to the C6 Scan and Tune Forum where they talk about that stuff ad nauseum and you'll get some good advice.

Thanks. I was thinking that taking it to a shop would be my best option. Can anyone recommend one in the metro Milwaukee Wisconsin area?

Try asking that question in your Great Lakes Regional Forum too for local member eyes:
